Welcome to Lucian Academy, a co-ed boarding school for grades 9 through 12 that's located near the coast in South Carolina. Here, students not only learn the traditional subjects of English, math, science, history, foreign language, and make plenty of friends, but they also bond with an animal (that animal is the reason they ended up at the academy -- because the animal chose the girl or boy, for whatever reason, and the academy approved of the choice), and during that bonding, they are endowed with certain powers -- magic, if you will. Lucian Academy accepts new students Freshmen through Senior and offers a rigorous class schedule that is punctuated by independent magic study periods, during which students explore their new magical powers on their own and with other students under the guidance of their faculty advisor. Lucian has amassed a year full of fun activities for their students to take part in, and does their best to not only provide a fun learning environment for students but also a fun place to live.
