Snatch a quote from a student and put it here!
At Lucian Academy, students are highly encouraged to take part in some kind of activity, whether it be one of the clubs or sports. If there isn't a club that they're interested in joining, they are always welcome to gather their friends and make their own -- all clubs, however, must have a faculty sponsor and must be approved by the Dean of Student Life. They're also encouraged to become involved in things that might be happening in Andisville, especially because a lot of the businesses and organizations there gear a lot of events toward Lucian students.

Despite all of the options, a lot of students choose to simply stick around in their dorm rooms or suite and just hang out with their friends and watch movies or play video games or challenge each other to Dance Dance Revolution. The faculty and administration don't really mind as long as the students appear to be settling into the boarding school life and are socializing. When they feel like a student might be out of touch with his or her classmates more than is healthy for a teenager, one of the guidance counselors will sometimes invite that student to his or her office to chat and make sure nothing's wrong -- which is one reason a lot of students join a club and go to a few meetings every now and then.

One added perk of going to school at Lucian Academy is that they allow each new student to bring a pet, if they so desire, at the beginning of their second semester. The reason they allow pets is because they have modified their facilities to accommodate animals already, so a pet dog, cat, fish, lizard, or whatever the student chooses to bring won't be anything new. Pets aren't allowed until the second semester because the administration wants to make sure that all new bonded pairs have enough time to become accustomed to each other before throwing another factor into the relationship (this one being a pet that would demand a significant amount of the human of the pair's attention). However, all bonded animals must agree to their human bringing a pet in before it can happen; also, new students are allowed to have pets on a trial basis. If they prove that they are responsible enough to keep their grades at an acceptable level and take care of their pet, they will be allowed to continue keeping them in their dorm room. However, if anyone in the administration, faculty, or even student body suspects that the animal is being ignored or in some other way mistreated or if the student's grades have fallen noticeably by the end of the semester, she or he will be given a notice and the pet will have to be sent back home.

Because Lucian Academy does offer summer classes, its dormitories are kept open all year round; that way, if a student chooses to take classes at the school over the summer, he or she has a place to stay -- in fact, there is the option of staying in the same room or moving to a different one, although many students elect to stay over the summer, if only because most of them can't take their animal bonded home with them. And Lucian Academy, wishing to foster and be supportive of the bond and relationship between the pair, will do whatever it takes to make sure that everything is as successful as possible.

Overall, student life at Lucian Academy has a very positive feeling surrounding it, because the faculty and administration try to make sure that the students have all of the clubs and entertainment they need at their fingertips. They believe that being successful in school doesn't only mean making a 4.0 GPA, but also developing good social skills, making friends, learning how to be committed to something, developing interests, and maybe getting an idea of what they want to do with their lives when they leave Lucian Academy.
